Senior Back-End Engineer | Online Marketplace | Remote | £80,000+

I’m working with an online marketplace with offices in both the UK & Poland, their offering is global, they facilitate several millions of bookings per month and have millions of users too.

It’s a really exciting opportunity to join a talented team as they work their way through the switch away from a Ruby monolith to a brand-new microservice architecture.

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby/ Elixir code
• Services are built-in Ruby, Elixir or Typescript, depending on which language best suits the solution
• For communication, they use Kafka for events and gRPC or JSON for synchronous calls.
• All services run in Kubernetes.

You’ll need 3+ years of experience building backend systems in Elixir, Ruby or similar (production Elixir experience is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and transfer skills)

You’ll get to work fully remotely but be open to travel to Warsaw or London (Quarterly)
