Senior Ruby Engineer | FinTech Start-Up | UK Based Hybrid | £80,000

Grit Tech Talent are exclusively partnered with an innovative fintech startup to help them hire a Senior Ruby Engineer.

You’ll play a pivotal role and be a vital part of the team with a valued opinion on everything delivering software products entails from the process, and architecture, all the way through to tooling.

Start-up life is exciting and rewarding. Right now the team is small but growing quickly and you’ll have the chance to have a huge impact on the future direction of the technical platform.

On a day-to-day basis you will be:

• Developing features & functionality as we move beyond our MVP
• Championing best practices across the codebase
• Identifying & resolving performance issues and bugs
• Active in the technical design & architecture of the platform
• Helping shape development processes as we scale the team

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
• AWS experience a plus
• You care about the code you write
• You’re focused on delivering value to users
• You know the right way to do things, while still being pragmatic
• You enjoy architecting systems – it’s down to us to lay the foundation we’ll build on for years to come
• You’re happy operating in the problem space, not just knocking down tickets
